Double H Ranch Update

DOUBLE H RANCH UPDATE FROM RANCH MANAGER, BEN BONNER

Greetings,

My name is Ben Bonner and I am the Ranch Manager for Heroes and Horses. 2021 was a successful and very special year for the H&H family; after moving from ranch to ranch over the last few years, we were able to run our program from our very own ranch! Our permanent home is located near Virginia City in the great state of Montana and the ranch is amazing.

The year started with plenty of challenges. I joined the H&H family as the Rach Manager in April along with two cowboys - Colton Oslund and Jake Choate - working alongside me for long hours. As you would imagine, there were a lot of things we needed to accomplish: We moved the herd and operations to our new home, we built infrastructure so we could run our program classes at our facilities including pasture fences, working pens, a temporary kitchen and a dining area taking advantage of the ranches' existing buildings. It has been a rewarding transformation that allows us to offer great programs in a setting that only Montana can offer.

This winter we will be finishing building the indoor arena, multiple round pens and an outdoor area. Colton, Jake and I will be starting many colts this winter to prepare them to be program horses. We currently have a herd of over 65 great horses with quite a few un-started great looking mustangs and colts. To those of you that had the chance to meet Phoenix, our beautiful black mustang, you'll be glad to know that he has found a new home and owner and has settled well in California.

This has been a year of many challenges and accomplishments. One, I am extremely proud to have been part of the H&H family. I can share with you that we will continue to work hard over the winter and into next year to be ready for our new 2022 season. We have a clear vision and a path ahead to become an even better program in our new ranch with an amazing herd of horses and a mission to accomplish even better things in the years to come. Here is to an amazing and prosperous 2022.

Best regards,

Ben Bonner
H&H Ranch Manager
