Q&A with the new Assistant Ranch Manager at The Double H Ranch, Dave Bosen.
Earlier this year, Heroes and Horses welcomed Dave Bosen as our new Assistant Ranch Manger at The Double H Ranch. Dave works closely with our Ranch Manager, Ben Bonner, to ensure the ranch and equine program is running smoothly. We had the opportunity to sit down with Dave and learn more about his background and what lead him to The Double H Ranch. Enjoy!
Tell us a little bit about yourself. Where are you from? What is your background?
I’ve been working with cattle and horses most of my life. I grew up in Preston, Idaho.
What is our favorite aspect of working with horses?
Horses have the ability to understand their roles and excel in them. I really enjoy it when that moment clicks and they know exactly what to do.
What lead you to Heroes and Horses?
Back in 2022, I worked on the Winecup Gamble Ranch and had the opportunity to work alongside Heroes and Horses during their Ranch Week. My family and I were looking for a new start and thought Heroes and Horses would be a great fit.
Now that we are halfway through our 2023 season, what has been the most exciting part for you?
The best thing is watching these men start to take care of their horses and themselves.
